Nah … i think he sees himself in the painting and is wondering how he got in there … he’s a fellow artist (note the ID around his neck) and can’t quite recall when he was over there in that canal! good shot!
You’re right. In fact, he IS the artist who painted the picture. But you know me, I like titles that obfuscate, force people to reexamine their reality (whatever that means). 🙂
