The white kid was all talkative & exuberant, had plans to “make it big” someday. He’s not the first to instantly take a likin’ to me and want his pic taken. (Do the homeless see a kindred spirit in me, or what?) If I’m accepted and the feeling is right I might try to worm my way into a long-term photo project with “them.” The black kid never said a word and made me think of the Pozzo-Lucky master/slave relationship in Waiting For Godot.
